Vinnie is a 42-year-old fan of wrestling and soap operas. Born in New Haven, CT, he has lived in Connecticut for all of his life. His favorite soap opera is General Hospital, and he is an avid fan of the nWo. He is currently the reigning, defending, undisputed Heavyweight Division Kickboxing Champion at his gym, S.I.N. Fitness in Berlin, CT.

He started his broadcasting hobby in high school, when he and two of his friends started a public access television show called the vVb Sportswire. The show aired on Citizens Television in New Haven, West Haven, and Hamden, CT. At one point, that show became the longest running, sports genre, hour-long public access show in the country at 7 years. That show had been the passion of Vinnie for many years, and resurrected many times, as a YouTube show and as a podcast. Archived videos of the public access days are still available on the Sportswire YouTube channel.

Suds and the Squared Circle was developed when Vinnie felt it was time to change course and start with a fresh idea. After becoming a fan of fan podcasts, such as Pier 54: A General Hospital Fan Podcast, the GH Mini Spotlight with James Lott Jr, and the 10th Floor Podcast with Matt and Kat, Vinnie realized that he could bring his two loves together, wrestling AND soap operas, into one podcast. Vinnie had always felt that wrestling is a male soap opera, with more fighting, and there is a considerable amount of crossover in both fandoms. So he went out and did just that, he rebranded the Sportswire X (formerly Twitter) page, the Sportswire Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor) page and RSS feed, and created a new YouTube channel to launch his brand new podcast.
